Sandymount Dodder Wheelers were proud to support the inaugural RNLI Lough Derg Charity Cycle on May 8 with 40 members joining in the fun in beautiful sunshine.

The cycle started and finished at the RNLI Lifeboat Station in Dromineer. The 130km route around Lough Derg gave members an opportunity to delight in the outstanding beauty of the lake and River Shannon through counties Tipperary, Clare and Galway.

The event was excellently organised with cyclists treated to well-stocked food stops, excellent traffic management and a heap of enthusiastic organisers and volunteers.

Big congratulations to club members Veronica, Hilda and Ena on organising an amazing event – legends!
